The Crescent City Classic

The Crescent City Classic 10K started in 1979 with 902 participants of all ability levels. As one of the oldest 10k races in the nation, the Classic has been praised across major running publications as the original party race, an Easter weekend tradition, and for being held on a beautiful course through a unique city.

Further, the Crescent City Classic Foundation works to create a better lifestyle for the people of the New Orleans metropolitan area through the promotion of fitness and health.

This year's Crescent City Classic and Michelob Ultra RaceFest will begin at 8 a.m. in Champions Square and end in City Park, just before the New Orleans Museum of Art, exactly 6.2 miles from the start. The event is known to boast the fun and celebratory nature of New Orleans through costume contests and an after party hosted by Michelob Ultra, but the Run for It program brings a level of seriousness to the event as the program sets out to raise $1 million to support local charities that have been selected to partner with the CCC Foundation each year.

This years charity partners include Youth Run NOLA, Split Second Foundation, Grace at the Greenlight, Son of a Saint, Covenant house, and many more. Charity partners officially recruit runners, walkers, and joggers to raise a minimum of $200 for their charity by race day, and will receive a full refund for the registration fee if the participator raises over $300. Charity runners receive free entry to the Michelob Ultra RaceFest, along with other exciting perks to incentive participation with this unique fundraiser.
