Women of Worship Concert
On Saturday, April 12, the emerging faith based entertainment company Kingdom Connections will be presenting an unforgettable concert, "Women of Worship," for a night of gospel music and community recognition.
This event is made possible by Kingdom Connections Entertainment, an independent non-profit organization committed to creating impactful and uplifting experiences through Christian concerts and entertainment. The concert will be held at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans East where they will feature a star-studded lineup of gospel music's finest female vocalists and recognize three local women of excellence for their impact in the lives of families and children across the Crescent City.
The concert performers this year include American gospel singer, producer, and actress Tamela Mann. She played Cora on over 13 movies and shows produced by New Orleans native Tyler Perry. She has also appeared in various films and television series, including Sparkle, The Color Purple, and more. The night will also feature beloved gospel singers Kierra Sheard-Kelly and Jekalyn Carr.
Honoring Local Women of Excellence
The night will also honor specific "women of excellence" and will be given flowers by members of their community. This year's women of excellence honorees come from Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, and beyond. A few of the women of excellence being honored this year are:

2. Lenora Chong
3. Kelisha Garrett
Ladies are encouraged to come dressed to impress and celebrate their faith, empowerment, and unity. New Orleans Fashion Week will also be featuring a special event with their popular "Shoe Cam."

The event will take place at the renowned Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to community service.
Tickets to the "Women of Worship" concert, which takes place on Saturday, April 12 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans East off Crowder Boulevard, are $65 for general admission or $375 for a sponsored package of four VIP tickets and a slot in the sponsorship pre-show.
