Campus Tours for Prospective Students
The International School of Louisiana (ISL) will be hosting tours of its campuses for prospective students and their families to learn about ISL's French and Spanish immersion program.
These tours will be taking place on January 16 and March 12 at 9 a.m. on ISL's Dixon Campus, located at 4040 Eagle St. There will also be tours at the Westbank campus on 502 Olivier St. in Algiers Point, as well as at the Uptown campus.
The Spanish and French immersion program at the Dixon campus will serve kindergarten to second grade. At the Westbank campus, the Spanish immersion program will serve kindergarten through fifth grade. The Spanish and French immersion program at the Uptown campus will be available for third grade though eighth grade.
The tours are open to all families and are encouraged for families who have not attended ISL's Open House. Tours of the campus will be conducted during school hours so parents can have the opportunity to visit the classrooms and observe the language immersion.
ISL participates in the NOLA-PS Common Application Process and the first round of applications will open on November 28. Additionally, ISL is open to any resident living in the state of Louisiana.
Incoming kindergartners and first-grade students are not required to test or have experience in the target language. All second through eighth-grade students must take a language assessment prior to acceptance. ISL has grown to be one of the largest K-8 schools in the city, with over 1,100 students served at the three campuses.
International School of Louisiana is the only tuition-free, multi-language immersion school in Louisiana. With its emphasis on international awareness, the celebration of diversity, and community responsibility, ISL's unique curriculum strengthens basic academic skills as it prepares students for success in today's worldwide marketplace.
