Serving the Unhoused Community
New Orleans HCH is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to ensuring that everyone—regardless of ability to pay—has access to quality health care services. Offering a sliding fee discount payment plan based on household income and family size, HCH guarantees that patients are not denied health care.
"We are deeply committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their housing or insurance status, has access to the quality health care they deserve," said New Orleans HCH Executive Director Ragan P. Collins, MPH. "We believe that health care is a fundamental human right, and we strive to eliminate barriers to care by offering accessible and low-cost services, and by remaining steadfast in our mission to support the well-being of our community, one person at a time," said Collins.
Dedicated to providing comprehensive health care services to vulnerable populations, HCH offers medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services to anyone who needs it. Services include immunizations, cancer screenings, family planning services, mental health assessments, dental cleanings, and Medicaid enrollment. HCH's resources ensure that everyone can get the care and treatment they need, empowering patients to make informed decisions that lead to a healthier and improved quality of life.
New Orleans HCH is experienced in its service to the local population and has served the greater New Orleans community for more than 35 years under the direction of the New Orleans Health Department. No insurance is necessary, and services are accessible and affordable, regardless of one's ability to pay. Quality primary health care services are offered to adults, as well as dental services to both adults and youth. Free STI/HIV testing and care, including PrEP is also available.
