Nominate a Local Child in Need

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas of the Archdiocese of New Orleans is currently seeking nominations for their annual "CDA Kid" program. This program provides aid to a critically sick or disadvantaged child and their family living in Louisiana.

The nominated child should be 12 years of age or younger and diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, disease, or be underprivileged.

Contact the CDA Kids' chairwoman in the Archdiocese of New Orleans Sean Spoliansky at SeansAmericanDream@gmail.com by November 10th to nominate a child. Please include the following in your nomination: the child's full name and date of birth, the parent's name and contact information, a summary of the child's circumstances, how many people live in the household, the family's financial situation, the child's interests, and a recent photo of the child.

The CDA Kid selection committee will look over the nominations and announce the selected CDA Kid recipient in the upcoming weeks. The selected CDA Kid and their family will be contacted by Spoliansky in January 2024 to check in with them regarding their needs. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will aid the family by creating a prayer chain and reaching out to the CDA courts should financial assistance be necessary.
