Get Funky for Free
NOLA Funk Fest, which is taking place this year October 18-20 with what
is sure to be an incredible lineup, is looking for volunteers to hand
out flyers during the second Jazz Fest weekend to increase attendance to the fest in the fall.
Volunteers can sign up for one or more slots to hand out
promotional materials outside Jazz Fest and other after shows across the city.
Each slot is around one to two hours. For each shift worked, volunteers will be
able to earn a single day Funk Fest ticket. Some of the dates for volunteering include May 2-5 outside Jazz Fest, May 3 outside Tipitina's, May 4 outside the Civic, and more.
Funk Fest is sure to be a great weekend of music and culture
in the city, just like each year prior. This year, festival goers can expect to
enjoy performances by favorites like George Porter Jr., Marcia Ball, Good
Enough for Good Times, and more.
