Lovage: A Trendy Restaurant With a New Orleans Vibe

By: Kala Hathorn

Lovage, newly opened in Ace Hotel, is loving the community by gracing everyday people with their fresh food and trendy ambience. This brand-new café is beginning to make waves on the New Orleans scene. You can rest assured that when it comes to Lovage's menu, all food is guaranteed to be made fresh and in-house. The menu inspiration is derived from the Louisiana Gulf Coast region and is one of the many superb qualities of this restaurant-style café.

The menu includes a variety of fresh juices, teas, seasonal salads, sandwiches, and desserts. The breakfast burritois their most popular food item so far, which comes dressed with eggs, cotija cheese, avocado salsa, and Oaxacan-style black beans cooked with avocado leaf. Another menu favorite is the goat cheese sandwich that comes from Southern Maids Dairy in Covington. If you are wondering about a cocktail menu, don't worry, it's on the way. Lovage is working hard to produce the finest menu filled with local New Orleans artisans' products.

If you are considering dining at this trendy café, they also offer to-go service, as well as inside and outside sitting, so on a beautiful day, don't hesitate to have your meal on the outside patio. Today, February 1, Lovage is launching their seasonal beignets. Because Mardi Gras season is in full swing, king cake beignets are making their royal arrival. Also starting at the beginning of February, Lovage will be giving away a free coffee with each order of beignets, so stay tuned. If you are looking to stop by, the hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 9p.m. daily.

If you are in the mood for trying something new, swing by Lovage and grab a bite to eat the prices and their fulfilling cuisine cannot be beat.
