See Swan Lake Like Never Before
Les Ballets de Monte Carlo's LAC, which is a retelling of Swan Lake, will be be performed at The Mahalia Jackson Theater Friday, March 1 at 6:15 p.m. The New
Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA), known in the city for their many incredible performances, is hosting this special behind-the-scenes
performance of the ballet.
The show is a reimagination of Swan Lake, with all the same
witchcraft and whimsy as the original performance. The curtains will be opened
at 7 p.m. before the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. for viewers to watch the dancers warm
up and prepare for the show. The rest of the show will follow suit. Viewers
will watch the sets change, stagehands do their work, and more behind-the-scenes secrets will be revealed.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their best Swan
Lake black and white attire, for which feathers are, of course, encouraged. Upon
arrival, guests may enjoy an open bar and food. During intermission, hors d'oeuvres
and cocktails will be served. After the curtain closes, guests can celebrate
with champagne, dessert, and music.
Tickets are currently on sale for this all-inclusive night
of ballet for $350 and a limited amount of spots are available.
