Stellar Concerts at Faubourg Brewery
Daze Between New Orleans has released its lineup for its 2024 concert at Faubourg Brewery. This musical event will take place on the "daze between" the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 30 and May 1.
Bring your high energy and witness jazz, folk, jam, and funk combine into a musical symphony that is perfect for New Orleans. Boston-bred funk band Lettuce will be headlining Tuesday night with special guest John Scofield. American Southern rock band Gov't Mule will be headlining on Wednesday with special guests John Scofield, Chuck Leavell, Ivan Neville, Karl Denson, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Daniel Donato. More local bands, including The Rumble featuring Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr. and Galactic featuring Jelly Joseph, will also be hitting the stage! Benefiting the Rex Foundation
Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Rex Foundation, which was founded by the rock band The Grateful Dead in 1984 to increase funding and education within arts, humanities, science, indigenous culture, and social and environmental justice. The foundation presents grants to small organizations focused on contributing to the betterment of society.
During the earlier days before the foundation's conception, the Grateful Dead were being asked on numerous occasions to contribute to various communities. They began to host benefit concerts and became well-known for their generosity. In 1984, the band founded the Rex Foundation in hopes to continue to assist communities. Daze Between will have a virtual auction that will be hosted by the Rex Foundation; the auction will feature Grateful Dead and New Orleans memorabilia and artwork. Proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will go to various New Orleans nonprofits.
The Rex Foundation supports organizations who assist in communities that are often overlooked and not uplifted. The Rex Foundation is eager to donate grants to organizations making a difference in their communities.
