Family-Friendly Festivals in New Orleans
The Balloon Glow & Laser Show at the NOLA Motorsports Park will be open to the public on May 31 and June 1 beginning at 5 p.m.
Entertainment for the event will include flights in hot air balloons, which will be $25 per person (cash only). The weather and the supply situation will determine what is available.
Enjoy a kid-only area featuring rock climbing, bouncing houses, trains, and other rides and activities in the Kids Zone. A variety of artists, including Dj Bambam Belonge, will be performing live throughout the event. Stop by booths that are selling a wide range of crafts and retail items. Sample a wide range of festival-favorite dishes like funnel cakes, BBQ, and Creole dishes.
Every evening at around 9 p.m., the highly anticipated Hot Air Balloon Glow & Laser Show will commence after the sun sets. This event creates a stunning visual performance by combining music with a synchronized laser and balloon burn display.
"We're already off to a great start of 2024, where we're utilizing our world-class facility to host out-of-the box events for the community," David Pace, general manager of NOLA Motorsports Park, said in a press release. "We encourage New Orleans to join us for this family-friendly weekend event, whether you want to relax and enjoy the laser show or try an adventure with a hot air balloon ride."
