The Running Dead: 2021 NOLA Zombie Run Will Take Place this October

It's never too early your mark your calendars in the Big Easy. Get ready to head out and share some Halloween fun in store October. New Orleans, which is no stranger to celebrating everything and anything, has a fun filled agenda of spooky events in store, especially for those who love Halloween and The Walking Dead.

The Krewe of Boo announced it will be hosting its annual New Orleans Zombie Run for 2021, which is sponsored by PJ's Coffee. The "deadly" event will take place October 23 and will begin at Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant. Each deadly participant should dress as a zombie or a favored monster and meet up at Lucy's located on the corner of 701 Tchoupitoulas St. The Big Easy Rollergirls will be the official zombie hunters. Beware of their infamous paddles if caught!

Don't wait! Pre-registration is open now for $20 ($30 day of the event) and includes an official New Orleans Zombie Run t-shirt. VIP registration is also available for $75, which will include a Zombie Run t-shirt, admission to Lucy's second floor and balcony, and access to professional makeup artists to assist people with their perfect zombie look. VIP access will begin at 7:30 a.m. with an open bar and food until 12:30 p.m. All other registrants should pick up their t-shirts before the 9 a.m. start of the 2-mile race for walkers, runners, and crawlers. Following the race, the fun will continue with a party hosted by Lucy's Retired Surfer's Bar. From 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Krewe of Boo will have its traditional parade through the French Quarter, which will end in the Warehouse district. The Halloween fun will culminate with a Monster Mash costume party hosted by Krewe of Boo from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. No masks required, Halloween or other, for this ghoulish happening!
