The Sazerac House will present the annual Gold Medal Chefs Gala and Hospitality Awards, benefiting the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, this August. This year's gala marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which honors those in the community who have significantly impacted the hospitality industry.
The gala will take place in the Great Hall at the Morial Convention Center on Wednesday, August 4 at 6 p.m. The evening will begin with cocktails, followed by a seated, five-course dinner and the Hospy awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Dinner will be prepared by five of Louisiana's finest chefs and attendees can enjoy an open bar throughout the evening. The dress code is cocktail attire, so come in your cocktail best!
Individual tickets start at $200, but can also be purchased as half and whole tables. Half a table includes five guests and will cost you $1,000 and a whole table for 10 will cost $1,800.
Tickets are a bit on the expensive side, but include the open bar and benefit the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation which aims to strengthen Louisiana's hospitality industry. The Foundation makes this possible by "supporting workforce development programs directly related to our industry; providing access to culinary and hospitality education; working to ensure a positive perception of Louisiana's hospitality industry; and providing financial assistance and/or guidance to people in the hospitality industry during times of crisis," according to louisianahospitalityfoundation.org.
Guests can also choose to be sponsors, gaining special acknowledgement at the event. The various sponsorship levels are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Awards, each of which include tickets to the event as well as "other sponsorship inclusion and awareness," according to the event page. A Bronze Sponsorship will cost $1,000 and gives purchasers two tickets. A Silver Sponsor will pay $2,500 for four tickets, a Gold Sponsor $4,000 for one table of 10 people, and an Awards Sponsor $5,000 for one table of 10 in addition to other sponsorship inclusion and awareness.
