Orléans Representatives to Visit New Orleans

The Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc will be hosting and celebrating citizens of the French city of Orléans, from which NOLA gets its namesake.
The representatives will be touring the city from January 4-9, culminating with their participation in the Joan of Arc parade on January 6. The Jeanne d'Arc 2023 of Orleans, Ms. Clairvie Quesne, will be leading the group.
This excursion is a reciprocal visit funded by Orléans' and New Orleans' Rotary Clubs, which have each provided scholarships for this cultural exchange. This year's parade takes place on Joan of Arc's 612th birthday and commemorates the 6th anniversary of the two cities becoming sister cities.
The Orléans delegation will spend the week experiencing the culture and history of New Orleans as well as experiencing local hospitality in local Rotary member's homes. The guests will visit St. Louis Cathedral, the National WWII Museum, take a ride on the Steamboat Natchez, and so much more to highlight New Orleans' French history and its own unique history. They will be officially welcomed when they arrive in the city with a ceremony at Gallier Hall. The delegation includes President of the Orléans Jeanne d'Arc Association Madame Benedicte Baranger, who represented Joan of Arc in 1975, the two pages of this year's Joan of Arc, and a few others.
