With schools around the city closing, it has become more difficult for some children to get regular access to reliable meals.
In response to this problem, Melba's Po-boys and the Manard Law Firm have teamed up to provide free breakfast for all school children in Orleans Parish for the next two weeks.
Underwriting is from the Manard Law Firm, facilitated through their partnership with Melba's. Manard chose to partner with Melba's for this project because they are known for being a "good corporate neighbor", and because they are open 24 hours and centrally located.
Families will be able to choose from eggs, bacon, and sausage or chicken tenders, red beans, and rice. The meals will be served with one time use packaging and utensils to ensure hygiene and safety.
