Le Pavillon Hotel New Orleans
Le Pavillon needs no introduction. Nevertheless, the stately hotel hosted a grand re-opening on April 4 to showcase the fruits of the years-long renovation finally completed.
This was no ordinary event. The figures of the famous artworks came to life and guided the revelers throughout several fascinating events.
The Grand Dame in a stunning blue gown, The Belle in a glittering gold gown, and Napoleon Bonaparte reincarnated told the tale of how Le Pavillon came to be and how it has transformed in recent years to turn history on its head. Fancy dance numbers in bijoux, a tour of the immaculate suites (including looking at Napoleon's own marble bathtub), an exciting live painting by Rebel, a violinist who performed twenty feet in the air at Bar 1803, and, of course, a second line through the streets were just a part of the fun.
In keeping with the tradition started in 1988, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were served alongside beignets, bread pudding, crawfish, and so much more. Le Pavillon, New Orleans, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is hardly showing her age at 118 years young. Here's to 118 more!
