The Mystic Krewe of Barkus, the much-loved family-friendly parade of costumed dogs, has announced the theme for its 2019 celebration: “The Big Bark Theory: Barkus Goes to Comic Con.” Expect to see the city’s cutest pups dressed as all of your favorite superheroes and comic book characters. Including a “Pawty in the Park,” Barkus will be hosting a before and after party in Louis Armstrong Park from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. featuring live entertainment, cash bars, food vendors, sponsor tents, and more. Online registration is open now with the parade to occur on Sunday, February 24, at 2 p.m. Hail Barkus!
