Five Spots to Celebrate National Mushroom Day October 15

While not everyone enjoys them, mushrooms are something that many can't live without. From mushroom risotto to mushroom steaks, they have a multitude of uses and can be good substitutes for things you wouldn't expect. Mushrooms come in many different forms, such as portabella and enoki, but their applications are nearly endless. Thursday, October 15, is the day dedicated to celebrating all the fungi: National Mushroom Day. Whether you like them raw or mixed with rice, here's a list of great spots to grab a dish full of mushrooms today.

Green Goddess

Located in the French Quarter, Green Goddess is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant that offers an eclectic dining experience. The brunch and dinner menus at the restaurant include several tempting mushroom dishes, with the most interesting being their mushroom gravy and biscuits.
