Café Amelie has the royal distinction of being named after the mother of Princess Amelie, who was the first American princess of the country of Monaco. Some of the café's classed up dishes include mussels, shrimp and grits, and a bananas foster waffle. Bennachin is unique in that it's one of the few restaurants in New Orleans that serves traditional African food, with a menu inspired by Cameroon and the Gambia.
