Looking for the perfect family getaway? Come on down to Family Gras, located at Clearview Shopping Center on 4436 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie, just ten minutes from downtown New Orleans! A FREE three-day festival drawing crowds of over 80,000, the event will take place between February 14th and 16th of this month. Brian Wilson, The Marshall Tucker Band, and a family tribute to Ricky Nelson will headline Family Gras 2020.

Family Gras features tremendous local artwork, Creole cuisine, children's activities and outdoor concerts by beloved Louisianans and artists nationwide. The celebration is ideal for not only those wishing to celebrate Carnival season with their youngsters, but anyone hoping to escape the partying and debauchery that frequently pervades the city this time of year. FG offers a wonderful option for a quieter, more relaxed version of fun!

Can't get enough of the exceptional music that Mardi Gras attracts? With last year's performers including Brett Eldredge, John Oates & The Good Road Band, Michael McDonald, The Righteous Brothers, B.J. Thomas, Imagination Movers, Creole String Beans and more, the festival's 2020 lineup is sure to excite. Check out the VIP Royal Pass for exclusive backstage access, stage viewing, food and beverage!

Searching for last minute pieces to elevate your Mardi Gras look? Browse the Art Market, complete with local vendors selling hair accessories, jewelry and clothing, as well as unique hand-crafted items, folk pieces, and photographs. While you shop, drop your little ones (aged 12 and under) off at the Kids' Court for face painting, hand-wax art, and interactive games!

Don't miss the Mardi Gras 5K and Kid's Half Mile, kicking off on Saturday, February 15th at 9:00 and 9:30 AM. Runners and walkers of all speeds are encouraged to participate. Wear your craziest MG-themed hat for the chance to earn awesome prizes in group and individual categories. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony following the races!

Need something to refuel after the festivities? Head over to the Flambeau Food Court, catering for a wide array of tastes, thanks to tons of esteemed Jefferson Parish restaurants. Enjoy Louisiana favorites like jambalaya, crawfish and fried catfish to traditional treats such as hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza. Finally, in Mardi Gras style, finish it all off with some king cake for dessert!
