By: Sofia Gomez Alonso

Following its cancellation this year in coordination with local and state guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cajun Chili Fest has been rescheduled for the spring of 2021 in Lafayette, at Blackham Coliseum. The team registration will open up later in the fall, and the festival will be open to the public. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to taste a variety of chili from local experts and chili champs, who will put forward their best recipes. Life music, a kid's zone, and raffle prizes will also make up part of the fun.

As of now, the date and the sponsors for next year's edition of the Cajun Chili Fest are yet to be defined. The festival will be open to the public from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Some of the sponsors of last year's fest included ESPN Sports Radio, News15, and Ryan Guidry.
