The Golden Girls: The Laugh Continues U.S. Tribute Tour is bringing Miami to The Saenger Theatre on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. They've travelled down the road and back again for one night only, and tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
This professional stage show is a contemporary take on the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-Winning classic and set in present-day. Sophia has been busted by the DEA for running a drug ring for seniors, Blanche and Rose have developed a viral dating and social media app for seniors called CreakN, and Dorothy is the glue that holds everyone together while dating a new, younger boyfriend. The show will run for one hour and forty minutes with a 20-minute intermission, and promises a blend of nostalgia, witty dialogue, and drag.
The play's writer, Robert Leleux, has written and produced numerous plays around the country, and his work has been featured in the New York Times and The New York Times Magazine. The show is directed by Eric Swanson, co-founder and executive director of the The Detroit Actors' Theatre Company, and produced by Murray and Peter Present. This play is like no other Golden Girls tribute show you've ever seen before.
The all-male cast includes Ryan Bernier as Dorothy, Vince Kelley as Blanche, Adam Graber as Rose, Christopher Kamm as Sophia, and Jason Bowen as Stanley/Burt.

Tickets are $51 and are available at The Saenger box office from noon to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday, as well as online. Attendees can also opt for a VIP photo experience add-on that includes photos with the actors on the Golden Girls set after the performance. Prepaid parking is also available. The show is rated 18+ (adult theme comedy).
