After last week's whirlwind of excitement that was the NBA Draft, the NBA has recently released the schedule for the 2019 Summer League. The Summer League begins July 5 and continues through July 15 in Las Vegas.

The Pelicans headline the first day of Summer League action on July 5 at 8:30pm on ESPN. Pelicans' number 1 overall pick Zion Williamson will face off against former Duke teammate and number 3 overall pick RJ Barrett and the New York Knicks.

Zion and the Pelicans will return the following day, July 6, in a matchup against the Washington Wizards and number 8 overall pick Rui Hachimura. The game will begin at 9pm and be televised on ESPN.

The third and final game for the Pelicans will take place against the Cleveland Cavaliers and number 5 overall pick Darius Garland on Wednesday, July 10 at 6:30pm. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Given the Pelicans potential Summer League record, the team could play in the Summer League playoffs beginning on Saturday, July 13 and ending Monday, July 15 or play in a consolation game beginning on Friday, July 12.

Also, due to NBA rules, the Pelicans' other two first round picks, Jaxson Hayes and Nickeil Alexander-Walker will not be able to participate in practice or play in the Pelicans' first Summer League game. This is due to those picks being a part of the Anthony Davis trade which can not be completed until July 6.
