The New Orleans Marigny neighborhood is embracing a new venue held in an old space. The Franklin, located on the corner of Dauphine Street and Franklin Avenue, is a neighborhood gastrobar that hosts a collaboration art, spirits and unique cuisine. Originally a corner grocery store, the restaurant fits perfectly in the vivacious neighborhood that appreciates its local businesses. The Franklin’s kitchen is led by Executive Chef Dane Harris. The seasonal menu includes a fantastic Beef Tartare, Pork Neck Schnitzel and the signature Franklin Burger. Each main course comes with a vegetable choice, including the perfectly seasoned Spiced Brussels and the light and fluffy Spaetzle.
The Franklin's cocktail menu is spectacular. The Great Northern, a gin cocktail, is a perfect treat and a must try. The restaurant features several old and new cocktails with an emphasis on the Martini and its variants. There is a natural wine selection, and a variety of beers.
