Don't miss the 20th annual Longbranch Bourbon Best Bartender of New Orleans Finals on December 9 at Laurenia at Pythian Market at 234 Loyola Avenue. The party is from 7 - 10 pm and features no cover charge along with complimentary drink samples, food, and drink specials. Ralph Dickey - Bar 1908 at the Pythian Market
Bar 1908 bartender, Ralph Dickey is incorporating the rich flavors of chicory and pecan to bring
a warm, seasonally appropriate cocktail to the table. "The Pecan Tree", incorporates
Longbranch Bourbon, Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur, pimento dram, chicory pecan bitters, and house-
made pecan liqueur; which is made by soaking pecans in sugar water and brandy for at least 24
Andrew Guerin - Bourbon O
Andrew Guerin is representing the French Quarter's popular Bourbon O Bar with his signature
cocktail, "HONEY BUNCHES OF OH YEAH". The ingredients include honey bunches of oat
syrup, strawberry jam, apple bitters, and almond milk, which perfectly compliment the flavors of
the Longbranch Bourbon.
Evan Wolf - Company Burger
Evan Wolf is representing Company Burger with his cocktail, "Party at the Moon Tower", which
juxtaposes the bright flavors of mint and mixed-citrus cordial with the warm, caramel and bitter
finish of Averna. Mingled with a black tea-infused Longbranch Bourbon, this cocktail is sure to
be a party starter.
Richard Luong - Daiwa
Richard Luong, of Daiwa, is using Toasted-Pecan infused Longbranch Bourbon, chicory-
pecan bitters, and even Japanese chili lime bitters to create a cocktail that perfectly compliments the flavors
of Japanese cuisine. The recipe for Luong's cocktail, "Ronin's Rodeo" incorporates Hibiki
Harmony Whiskey, Blandy's Rainwater Madeira, Aperol, Shinshu Miso, yuzu juice, and of
course, Longbranch Bourbon.
Johnny Reff - Doris Metropolitan
Johnny Reff of Doris Metropolitan has created a simple, yet refined cocktail to complement the
aged flavors of one of the French Quarter's most well-known steakhouses. The cocktail is
simply called "The Shatner", and includes Longbranch Bourbon, Averna, lemon juice and honey
syrup, which pair nicely with the middle-eastern influenced flavors and spices of the restaurant's
Toure Folkes - The Domino
Bartender Toure Folkes is representing The Domino with his whimsical drink, "Daydreaming",
which emphasizes the aromatic and floral flavors of chamomile with orange-chamomile syrup,
lemon, and egg white, and Longbranch Bourbon. The Domino is a St. Claude neighborhood bar
known for its fun ambiance, board games, and extensive cocktail list.
Nathaniel Sprague - Rusty Nail
Nathaniel Sprague of the Rusty Nail is stepping up to bat with his cocktail, "Uncle Daddy", a
Longbranch Bourbon cocktail that emphasizes the sweet, citrus notes of lemon, black-pepper
cardamom bitters, and pear Eau De Vie. Known for its lush greenery and open patio, the Rusty
Nail has been bringing people together since 2006.
