Oldest Oyster Shucker in New Orleans, Paul Dinet, Passes Away at 85

By: Michael Fulkerson

Paul Dinet, New Orleans's oldest oyster shucker on Bourbon Street at Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar, has passed away on Thursday, April 18 at the age of 85.

Dinet has been shucking oysters at Felix's four or five times a week since 1984, eight hours a shift.

Our very own Phil LaMancusa sat down with Dinet in March of 2018 for our Spring Restaurant Guide cover story, which can be found here

Our condolences go out to Dinet's family and friends.
