NOLA Horror Film Fest 2020 Preview

By: David Vicari

It's officially fall, and that means it's time to prep for Halloween. Join the live virtual event that is the 10th Annual NOLA Horror Film Festival from September 25 to 27, because everyone deserves a good scare during this season. The fest has feature films, short films, screenplay contests, and Zoom panel discussions.

The Opening Night feature film will be The Unfamiliar, in which a British Army doctor (Jemima West) comes home from war believing herself to have PTSD, but soon discovers that there is a more daunting malevolence at work, making the life that she previously knew unfamiliar.

The Closing Night film will be The Reckoning, about a young widow (Charlotte Kirk) being falsely accused of being a witch in England of 1665. It's directed by The Descent and Dog Soldiers filmmaker Neil Marshall.
