The highly rated and conveniently situated Hotel Storyville is happy to return their prized Garden to its proper functions. Less than a mile away from the French Quarter yet still situated in a rather quiet nook, this hotel is perfect for those who want to enjoy gallivanting on and around Bourbon Street with the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have a quiet place to retire to when the fun is over. Of especial note is Hotel Storyville's gorgeous backyard landscape, known for being conducive to social interactions and fun events. With COVID regulations finally loosening somewhat in New Orleans, the Hotel Storyville will be showing the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Storyville Garden on Halloween, among other screenings.
A clever parody of B-movies and poorly made horror films, Rocky Horror Picture Show is an unabashed and extravagant musical that was revolutionary for its release in the mid-1970s. Its envelope-pushing nature in character design, themes, and overall tone has earned it a considerable cult following that lives on to this day, and this is echoed by the fact that Storyville Hotel will in fact be showing it this Halloween in the Garden.
Keep in mind that the size of the Garden will allow for considerable liberty in terms of where you sit, and further, where you decide to practice social distancing. Porches, gazebos, provided chairs, and so on will be available. Do bear in mind that refreshments will not be available for purchase on-site, but Hotel Storyville encourages and will permit bringing your own drinks. Social distancing will be a general mandate as usual, and only attendees over the age of 21 will be allowed entry.
