Over the next several Fridays (including tonight!), Craig Borges and Drew Knoll of New Orleans Seafood Co. are teaming up with six local restaurants to offer take-out "fish fry" meals. Adhering to all safety regulations, restaurants Station 6, GW Fins, Pêche Seafood Grill, Lüke, Bourbon House and La Petite Grocery will be serving fishy feasts curbside and to-go.
Restaurants are seeking ways to keep customers fed without being open for dine-in. "I knew the seafood and hospitality industries were going to suffer and I have a lot of seafood coming in, so I couldn't think of a better way to help the community, our hospitality workers, and the fishermen who bring this bounty to our tables many who are now facing joblessness," said Borges. " A portion of the proceeds from each "fish-fry" will go directly to the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation earmarked specifically for their Hospitality Industry Worker Crisis Grants so they can assist those with the greatest need." They have even asked Monsignor Christopher Nalty to attend each of the locations and bless the meal.
This Friday, March 20th, the curbside fish-fry will be offered at the following locations from 4:00pm to 7:30pm. Restaurants will serve their own menus offering fried or grilled fish options served with a side for $15 per person. We encourage you to call ahead and place your order!
