Coming this January, New Orleanians won't need to make the 16000-mile journey if they want to see Mt. Rushmore! Between January 18th-19th, the BrickUniverse LEGO Convention will make it's way to the Pontchartrain Convention and Civic Center, featuring a large-scale LEGO display of Mt. Rushmore built by Chicago-based Rocco Buttliere. Buttliere built the masterpiece with over 22,000 LEGO pieces and spent a total of 550 hours designing and building the structure over the course of eight weeks.

Regarded as one of the most talented LEGO builders in the world, Rocco Buttliere's creations have won numerous national and international awards and are featured in many books. Fans can find Buttliere's work displayed across the United States as well as internationally in England, Denmark, Scottland, Italy, Denmark, Norway, and The Netherlands. In addition to his tribute to Mt. Rushmore, Buttliere will have fifty of his creations on display at the BrickUniverse LEGO Convention.

BrickUniverse celebrates LEGO builders from all over the world by displaying their creations, building zones, and more. Don't miss out on this ultimate LEGO fan experience!
